Flight Sim Training

We use computer flight simulators to teach the basics of flying.

Easy to Access

We hold different workshops through out the year, in Canada and in Mexico.

Practical Participation

Students have hands on experience in simulators flying actual training aircraft.

Technical Support

We use the most advanced flight simulation software (X-Plane) coupled with high speed gaming hardware.

Student Certification

All students who attend and successfully complete workshops received a Certificate of Attendance.

Global Classroom

Workshops are currently held in Canada and in Mexico. Additional workshops are planned for elsewhere in future.

Hi, I am your 1st Christian Flight Ministry Coach

Pilot, Christian, Co-operative Development Consultant, and now its seems, Flight Coach

On May 23, 1977 I successfully completed my medical, the training, written test, and flight test required for my private pilot license. On February 12, 1980 I completed the requirements for my night endorsement, and on October 28, 1983 I successfully completed my medical, the training, written test, and flight test required for my commercial pilot license.

In 2007 while working in Africa for the Canadian Co-operative Association, I welcomed Jesus Christ into my life. While attending Faith is the Victory Church International, I started into a relationship with Jesus which has continued to grow and to deepen ever since.  For me –  God (thru his Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit), really is my co-pilot in life.

In 2017 I observed attendance at the churches where I was worshiping in Canada and in Mexico did not include very many teens.   I felt moved to do something that might interest youth, not only in following Jesus, but also that might inspire them to consider flying as a potential career option.

In the early summer of 2017 God gave me the idea of how to do something to help.  I began by acquiring the various computer components and software needed to run a Saitek flight simulator.  Most of it I purchased used. I also purchased and installed the latest flight simulator software I could find.  After some considerable fiddling and adjusting of both hardware and software, I was once again flying, although this time it was from my home and from a hardback  kitchen chair.  Admittedly it took me some time to master the various controls, but once I did – it was GREAT. Starting up the 172 Cessna Skyhawk, hearing the sounds of the engine, taxiing out to the active runway, taking to the sky for a while, and then approaching to make a perfect landing – brought back to me a thrill I had been missing for a number of years.  I approached Pastor Glen Povey at Morning Star Ministries in Regina, Canada with the idea of involving youth in flying and he instantly liked the idea.  The rest, as they say, is history.  At this time I now have seven (mostly well used)  flight simulators, computers and software, and we are in our third year of Christian flight training workshops.

One of our most recent workshops was held in Ajijic Mexico, in what Marvin Golden calls his Upper Room. It was a real success, for both the seven youth that attended but also in terms of what was learned by doing the workshop in a different setting. I intend to use what was learned in the next workshops here in Canada.  I am especially thankful to the team members who assisted in various aspects of the program.  We had 4 real pilots and two more very real and very knowledgeable angels actively helping in making it a success.  Thanks and praise to our Lord!

As an aside on August 12, 2018 I successfully complete the training, written test, and flight testing to again receive my private pilot’s license.   Since then I’ve done some limited but real life flying in Canada and in Mexico.

Peace and blessings,

 Terry MacDonald        June 2019
